Friday Art Preview - 9/29/23

I'm sure this card layout looks a bit familiar to you. With Death Valley 2 we went with the same layout as the first game. Changing any part of the layout would mess with the gameplay and we do not want that! The art is also in the same style since we worked with artist Fachri Maulana for both games. Fachri has a very beautiful painted style and is also very consistent. When we make a sequel to a game it is very important to us that it feels just like that, a sequel! The art and style should match and feel familiar to the player.
Out of all the pieces of artwork for Death Valley 2, this one is my favorite. In a place known for it's extreme conditions these plants find a way to survive, and that is all because a little stream passes through this canyon. The water, the plants, and the blue shadows make this the most peaceful spot in the Death Valley.

Late response, but I'm so excited for this! I have been playing a lot of DV lately, and it is such a magnificent game. There are good decisions to make, and the art makes it such a calming little adventure, that is perfect when winding down.
