Numbsters is live on Kickstarter! Here's how to pledge for the campaign.

Numbsters is a solo game that can be played in your hand or on a table. Each of the hungry Numbsters features a number and special ability. You’ll need to eat, move, and manipulate your way through the stack of Numbsters to claim victory. If you can get down to just one Numbster and the Mouth remaining in your hand, you win!

FOR THE SECOND TIME AT KICKSTARTER THERE WILL BE A PLEDGE MANAGER for this campaign! Please read ‘Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as a member’ as we’ve made some changes since our last campaign.

The first important thing is the campaign link:

What will be included in Club Packages?

Supporters of levels including a wallet game ($18+): Numbsters and Twin Stars: Save the Spacewhales will be included in a future package.

Supporters at Ltd Postcard Plus ($10/$12), Ltd Postcard ($5/$6) and Digital Only levels: The PNP files for Numbsters will be added to the Board Game of the Month Club Dropbox.

Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as a member:

For this campaign we will be using Gamefound’s Pledge Manager. At Kickstarter, you will choose the BGOTMC $1 level and adjust your pledge to a total of $12. (You will likely need to add $11 of additional funds in checkout.) We are charging for shipping and also enabling your club discount in the post-campaign pledge manager. In some cases the cost of shipping is the same as the discount and you won't be charged anything additional.

It's the end of the year, so we're keeping this campaign simple. Add-ons will all be available just before shipment for US, UK and International backers through the Gamefound pledge manager. We expect to have a small selection of our top games there, as well as some additional releases that come between now and then. Address details and any payment due for add-ons and shipping will be collected through the Pledge Manager.

The amount pledged at Kickstarter will be transferred to Gamefound where your club discount will be added as a credit using your name and Patreon email address. When the Pledge Manager opens, if you do not see the credit, we will be able to update it manually; this will most likely happen if your Kickstarter name and email address is different to your Patreon name and email address. We will let you know what to do if this happens when the Pledge Manager opens.

Any questions, just ask either in the comments here or on our Discord server.

When hungry Numbsters form a line, arrange them well and you’ll be fine.
But when they all begin to munch, avoid the Mouth or you’ll be lunch!

Start with a stack of 6 random Numbsters (plus the Mouth card). Each turn, draw a new Numbster into your hand, placing it at the top of the stack. Then, you may move one card to a different position in the stack OR swap any two cards’ positions.

Finally, it’s feeding time: one Numbster must eat another one. Typically, this requires two sequential Numbsters (for example, 16 and 17) separated only by the Mouth card. The smaller Numbster in the sequence can eat the bigger one, discarding it and starting a new turn.

Of course, these Numbsters are odd creatures. Each one has an optional special ability that changes how the other Numbsters eat, allowing for powerful plays and big bites! The ability on the top Numbster in the stack is considered active while showing; when it’s used, that Numbster slides to the bottom of the stack.

But be careful – if at any point the Mouth card reaches the top of the stack, it triggers its game-ending special ability…and eats YOU!

Karl at Purple Moose plays has a great video playthrough if you'd like to see the game in action: https://youtu.be/YbQHHSrRubw

Twin Stars: Save the Spacewhales is included with all pledges.

Two cosmic adventurers are in a tricky scenario and must work together. By rolling and manipulating dice for special abilities and combos, you can be the one that guides them to victory.

Twin Stars is a solo system by Jason Tagmire and Mike Mullins. Each session consists of just 3 cards and players will provide their own dice and coins/tokens. Each scenario and characters can be interchanged with others for a very different gaming experience.

There are more details on the Kickstarter page. Head over there for everything you need to know.

Comments

You don't need to back the Kickstarter if you're at a level that includes a wallet game, unless you want to support the campaign and switch the game out when it's featured.

Hi, do I need to back this at all on KS if it will be included in a future monthly package (assuming I choose it instead of something else when the time arrives)?
