Friday Art Preview - 5/27/22

Happy Friday, welcome to another Art Preview! This week we've had some progress on some games I've shown previously.

Here we have a card from an expansion for The Family Dinner. We have 3 expansions in the works and each one is based on a different theme. This Chicken Nugget card is from a kids themed expansion. In keeping with that theme we decided to make the text look like it was hand drawn from a kid. We feel this really adds to the style and brings the theme together nicely.

We've been working hard on At The Helm. Up until now all you've seen are captain's log illustrations of items. The question we asked ourselves last week was How do we want the two captains to look? The game has two different captain cards and we wanted them to look like the real deal. Our artist, Marty, drew inspiration from traditional captain portraits that were painted in the early 1900's.

Here is the other captain painting. We're really happy with how these turned out. There is a lot of art needed for this game. Marty is working on some action cards that also have a similar painted style. It'll be a while before I have a card image to share but when I so I'll show you here.
