Update + New Holiday PNP's

Happy Holidays everyone! We have a few holiday themed PNP's, but first let's go over a few updates. And before that, we want to say welcome and thank you to all of the new patrons and everyone that jumped up to the new $20 role playing level. You are all the best.

We've been working extra hard these past few weeks to catch up on the BGOTMC backlog. I'm happy to say we are nearly there! July and August have completed shipping. September and October are nearly completed as well. We just have the $20 level to send out and we're on it already. Those should be out the door in the next few days. November is not yet ready to ship but it's very close. We are just waiting on a set of rules to arrive. December is also all ordered so we are only waiting on rules and wallets to arrive.

Don't forget to check our weekly status update here and at discord: https://buttonshygames.com/pages/bgotmc-status

I'm sure you're all excited to get a bunch of BGOTMC packages. I know I am because it's been a real challenge to catch up. I'm especially excited for next year; we have so many exciting games for 2022! If you missed our 2022 preview post you can check it out here:

Our new years resolution will be to keep improving the turnaround for BGOTMC!

Now onto our holiday PNP's.

Our first PNP is Yule Tides, a spin off of Tides designed by Mike Berg. In this 1 card microgame 2 players will be collecting ingredients and baking tasty holiday treats! This came together as a single card game challenge on our discord, and turned out to be really fun.

The next PNP is Trim the Tree, a fan made retheme of Skulls of Sedlec by Marianne Waage. If you are familiar with Skulls of Sedlec then you already know how to play! (Note: There are no rules, so please make sure you study up on Skulls of Sedlec before diving in). Thank you Marianne, we always love to see fan made content!

Fluxx Holiday, 12 Days of Christmas are good. Santa's Bag if for younger players.

Sean Banks

A fake artist goes to New York! As long as the party is small.

Kate Steinbach

Loonacy! - Quick to learn, quick to play. Easy setup. Variable length of game. And FUN!!!

NANCY M SILVA

Telestrations

Lin

Chameleon worked really well with my non-gaming family. Got everyone involved. If I had it, would also put in Codenames into that one as it is quick, simple, and handles lots of people :)

Aaron Hall

So, work party would have to be In Vino Morte as I work at a winery! Family party would have to be either Kingdomino, or Villainous. My husband loves Kingdomino and we have been a Disney family since I was a kid!

Kimberly Bradish

We’re Doomed! A high player count and a hard 15 minute time limit is perfect for a party.

Daniel Racke

Mysterium

Nicholas Antonakos

Spheres of Influence

James

It’s not particularly seasonal, but my current favorite is Poetry for Neanderthals. It’s silly, all ages, interactive, and fast!

Sara Novak

Telestrations is unbelievably fun!

Medusa Gaming

Either wingspan or telestrations

Dan

Well, Trim the Tree, of course! But I also have Trolling For Trouble as well...

Vince Tagle

Dixit

Davy Davis

I would consider Telestrations and Insider, but would likely choose Just One.

Daniel Nelon

7 Wonders

Mary Jones

If it's adults only playing, Campy Creatures. It's a simple enough game, fun and quick. I don't recommend it for younger players, only because of the cut-throat of it. For All ages, It's 100% Wizard Kittens. Easy to play, not too long, and has enough gameplay to keep adults interested, too.

Greg Lyon

Strike for sure!

Brian Meneses

My go to would be sushi go party. It's adorable, fun and super easy. Although a dice throne mini tournament might be fun too with season 1 and 2 characters.

Kendra Bernard

I'd bring Saboteur or Dixit Odyssey, both great 5+ games.

Martín Borda

Dixit - for a pandemic-sized holiday party; Movie Plotz for larger

Lourdes Tallet

Ice Dice - easy to learn, lots of people can play if you bring extra pyramids, push your luck

Fresh

charty party

Ethan Bartolic

Apples to Apples

Paul Bach

Wits and wagers

AUDREY ALBARRAN

Letters to Santa!

Wendy Barlow

If I'm bringing a game to a party (holiday or otherwise), it is usually a party game. Most of the parties I attend aren't with other gamers, so I need something with wide appeal, easy to teach and understand, and accommodating a lot of players. Warewolf and Secret Hitler are always crowd-pleasers, but Wavelength and Banned Words have been the go-to games lately because it's Team v Team, meaning that any number of players can play. If I'm going for something that isn't a party game, I'm probably bringing Azul (easy to teach/learn) or Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig (plays a lot of players).

Jason Martin

Dice Miner!

Christopher Barnes

I love getting people laughing together at holiday gatherings. I would bring Captain Sonar.

Jeff Delbert

I actually have taken Qwixx to multiple holiday gatherings, but if the plague ever settles down I plan on taking Just One in the future. We just got it a couple of days ago and my teenage daughter (who will only play games under strong coercion) was asking to keep playing.

Kevin Thomas

Taboo is great, as long as the party is unilingual, same goes for Telestrations. With mixed languages, you need to go with something more like In Vino Morte, Pit, or Dudo. I get asked to bring games to parties a lot.

Christopher Hearns

Considering a lot of friends don’t play often, I’d bring In vino morte since it scales well, easy to teach, and quick

Eric Hudson

Sushi Go is always a hit at parties!

Beth Finn

Two Rooms and a Boom is my go to for company events! Always a hit!

Kyle Sykes

Anomia has been my goto for party games. It's a hit with anyone.

Dee Wongsa

Jumpship

Erick

Alien Frontiers

Todd Ellis

Secret Hitler

Andrew Kraut

In Vino Morte and Dixit

Ryan Kesler

Wavelength

Mike Thomas

Die of the Dead or Latte Throwdown 😊

Stephanie Jones

Easy, it's got to be Uno because there can only be one!

Ricky Andrade

Secret Hitler or Telestrations

Joseph Farthing

Just bought Horrified so will try that with my sister and brother-in-law. Also purchases What Do You Meme? so we will bring that to play with kids and grandparents!

Jocelyn Painter

Twilight Imperium Just kidding, I'm not insane. Wavelength, In Vino Morte, Sushi Go Party

Matt Soucy

Looks like it will have to be 6 Nimmt (Take 5!) and Spyfall

John Ricker

Ticket to Ride

Joanne Brown

Depends on who else is there... Something like Risk, Axis & Allies or similar if its a bunch of us old timers. Grand kids and such - then whatever would be age appropriate - from Hi HO CherryO! to Chess!

Terrence M

I'm looking forward to try out Concept with a larger group, so that would be it.

Alain Ducharme

CamelUp is our holiday game

Greg Lucas-Smith

Codenames

Kurt

Wavelength for a party, Dwarf King for a smaller gathering.

Evan Meister

Tsuro

b.evil.c

Since Holidays for us is a gathering of mostly "non-gamer" family, gotta bring a family friendly party game. *Just One* has been a hit in past so will probably bring that one out again this year.

The_Syndicate_1013

I bring Resistance: Avalon. I’m always eager to get some plays on. I’ve not been able to do enough games with the same group to explore all the different roles.

Joseph Anderson

Red Flags!

Adam Holland

Cockroach Poker

Hank Heyming

The winner for me has always been Monikers. Any player count, no rules prep required, bridges the generation gap and guaranteed to be laughing all night.

Will Templeton

Dominion!

Jessalyn Rombocos

In Vino Morte

James Marshall

Terra Mystica - it's going to be a long party hahaha Or really probably bring something like Codenames bc of its table presence

Caleb Davidson

Wavelength

Matt Miller

Wordsy :)

Hilary W Moorman

Quacks of quedlinburg

Morgan Lindroos

Donner Dinner Party!

Sean McGurr
