Package Status and Dropbox Update

Hello everyone!

We have a whole bunch of things to share, and we're combining two into this update. (Apologies to $20 supporters that are seeing this first part twice).

Before we start, I want to give a big welcome to all of our new subscribers. You've joined us at a great time as we get into a year of Chain Mail and Tempus Quest, with quarterly Anthelion expansions and MechAge modules, and in between all of that, a bunch of tiny little games and expansions. We're running a little behind schedule (as always), but working hard on that, as you will see below.

November packages are heading out

Anyone that started their subscription on or before 10/31/18 will be receiving a November package. If you started after that, your first package isn’t here just yet. For new subscribers that are waiting for their first package, we’ve previously sent out some small care packages during long waits and we may do that again as we’re catching up here.

We’ve put a few things in place to get ahead. Here’s what we’re looking at for the upcoming packages and our plan to get caught up:

April would get us right where we want to be. This has been a constant struggle and it’s hardest up until you get your first package, but once you get one, you should see regular content. I was also very conservative with those dates. I usually get hopeful and go with the earliest possible date, but these are much more realistic.

Dropbox update: Lots of new games!

Are you looking for something new to play? Well... we added a whole bunch of games to the Dropbox.

If you don't have the folder link, bookmark this one: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4i4xnkhw1kakdjj/AADgomR_xfZNYCPFjO7UxvBNa?dl=0

Here's a sample what's currently in the folder.

Antinomy - Kickstarter Preview (2 players with solo mode)

This is our next game that's coming to Kickstarter in <2 weeks. It's a puzzly 2 player game that looks simple, but has some great layers of complexity beneath. This was a winner of our 2017 design contest, along with Liberation, Arcane Bakery Clash and The Perfect Moment. If you're interested in soloing it, scroll down. :)

Antinomy: Solo Flare - Kickstarter Preview (1 Player)

Mike Mullins designed "Solo Flare" a 6 card solo expansion to Antinomy. We asked Mike to work on this because it reminds us of Pentaquark in a weird way. Mike put together a really cool solo mode that will come along with the Kickstarter.

Legends of Dsyx - (Lockpicks was just added) (1 Player)

We're getting close to the end of the Dsyx series, which is one of our most ambitious projects. It's 12 roll and write games that are all very different. The common thread is the theme and that they all fit on a single page, and all use only 6 sided dice. Lockpicks is #11 and you can find the previous 10 in the dropbox as well.

Mint Julep: Win Place Show (2-4 Players)

For our Mint Julep fans, we added a 4 card expansion that adds another layer of betting. You'll place side bets on other horses, trying to gain a few extra points. It's opened up the otherwise tight scoring, and hopefully you can pull off a big win!

Six Sons of the Sultan (2 Players)

This is our first Todd Sanders game (our second, The Maiden In The Forest, is almost here), and it's a little 9 card, resource management game. Manage all of your different teas better than your opponent so that you can get great bonuses and big points.

Twin Stars: Adventure Series II (plus Droids, Oversized Scenarios and Tokens) (1 Player)

The second series of Twin Stars is here (in PNP form, the physical games are just a few weeks away). You can try out 6 new scenarios with or without the first game. Here we'll try to Destroy the Order, Sell the Junk, Control the Skies and more!

Plattitudes: An Exploration in 18 Cards of the Emotional Portrayals of Golden Globe Nominee Oliver Platt (3-6 Players)

And finally, a game that was provided to us by a friend and Button Shy designer, Daniel Newman (co-designed by Mason Weaver). It's one that wouldn't be published in a normal fashion (as you will see when you download it), but it's hilarious and I figured some people here would get a kick out of it. Daniel and Mason were going to submit it to our Gen Cent contest last year but didn't finish it in time. Now we present it to all of you. :)

As well as the above, there are 10 other Dsyx Roll and Writes, a few other games (Semifinal Fantasy, The Perfect Moment and more), plus the rules for Timestamp 1-6. I'm adding another Timestamp ruleset each day until we are caught up.

We have a few new things coming too. Tempus Quest is coming real soon, as well as Chain Mail. We'll be sure to post when they're added!

That's it for now. Thank you all and we hope you enjoy the games!

Is Plattitudes still available? That's hilarious!

+1 fFor PnP Stew Expansions! I kinda hacked my own together, but stew has become easily one of my top fFavorite games.

The best place would probably be the Discord Channel. We have a few Dsyx SUPER FANS and Robin Gibson answers questions there from time to time as well. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/SgtD6xw

The best I can say is maybe. Not sure what all the PnP plans are.

Will we get PnP files for the Sprawlopolis: Beaches and Stew: Corn & Crow expansions?

Jason Sanchez

Is there a place to ask questions about the Dsyx series? Trying out the Tower of Mages and wondering if it is correct that you cross the elemental rooms out when they score, Gryphon Nest should really be scoring rooms that aren't crossed out (and then cross them out) and that tower caps still score for crossed out rooms.

Jarad Bond

So what are the chances that Todd Sanders can make a one card expansion using Mr. Cabbagehead for the game Stew?
