Some speculate that excessive male predation on cubs may have put pressure on the females to become both larger, more aggressive, and select mates less likely to succeed in culling their offspring (Something many pack animals do, notably lions) 50,000 years later Ape Men would draw them domming Gazelle girls on their magic lightning rock box
