2025-02-22 22:06:06 +0000 UTCto me, the emperor's reaction at the end seemed more pensive than anything. given maomao's somehow been involved in all these incidents and has been helping so many people thus far, he might just be curious about her. i also suspect he may have been able to gather some information from jinshi, possibly? while we haven't seen too much about the guy just yet, he does seem like a fairly decent guy, just more serious/reserved which makes sense given his status.
