She dislikes her nickname, and if you see the series in the first couple of episodes you'll see why the call her by that nickname. Lina's spell could be a inspiration for Megumin's spell "Explosion" as to the damage and subsequent negative consequences.

The main character is Lina Inverse, the girl with red hair, she is an adolescent (between 15 and 17 years old in most stories), she is an extremely powerful mage, with a great love for money, treasures and food. She is voiced by the legendary Megumi Hayashibara one of the most prominent Japanese voice actresses and singers since the 1990s, Hayashibara is best known for her roles in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Saber Marionette J, Magical Princess Minky Momo, Mashin Hero Wataru, Ranma ½, Cowboy Bebop, Slayers, Detective Conan, Pokémon, All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku, Hello Kitty, Video Girl Ai, and Shaman King among others for which she also performed various OP and ED themes. You should react to Saber Marionette J's OP and ED to continue with the classics.
