About my favorite Episode of all of Battle shounen: Gaz, u are part of the problem! T^T ah! My poor, greatest Kacchan! At least how I interpret it is: Kacchan has been told how great he was all his life, so he would then feel the expectations in such and had to fulfill them. Always being the best. Plus when you hear such things often enough you believe them urself. Believing youre always the best and always have to be. He is always trying so hard, and people take it as pure talent - as mentioned, he is weak too. Even Allmight was already expecting things from him "he can do it on his own" kind of thing "he doesn't need me" kind of thing (which he now realized was wrong). This might also just me being super biased cuz I love Kacchan, as well as not being fond of the "chosen one" thing :< I mean people could say "Deku tried, even without powers etc etc", but imho, that was lit. just being delusional and unable to face reality. He just happened to be the MC so such a Miracle happened - but it's not the norm. and HA! Kacchan still won! :< long live Kacchan °^° - Kacchan Fangirl PS: I meant part of the problem, cuz you were expecting exactly as much from a boy as the in-verse people. So in that sense, it's just good writing.

man, sucks that i wasn't there for the fight episode.....but this is by far one of my favorite episodes of season 3, maybe even the whole anime. i think that on the one hand, your annoyance toward bakugou's behavior was a bit understandable, but the one thing that's very important to keep in mind is that both him and deku are still teenagers, and teens aren't exactly known for their ability to talk things out calmly! not only that, they've both got a LOT of emotional baggage they carry with them on the daily. especially bakugou; it's pretty obvious throughout the whole series that he doesn't know how to process his emotions properly & express himself in non-aggressive ways, which actually makes a lot of sense when you look at his parents whom we met earlier in the season. the abusive bakugou household is something i don't see many people really dig into, but i think it's easy to see where at least 95% of his attitude and mindset stem from; the constant yelling at home, the excessive focus on strength and high expectations (e.g. bakugou's mother claiming his kidnapping was HIS fault for "being weak" during aizawa & all might's visit, which is for one, a WILD thing to tell your kid, and second, the way she said it so casually in front of two teachers shows me that for them, these kinds of comments aren't uncommon/unusual), and the way none of them seem to take it so seriously or even realize it's a big problem. something something, kids copy their parents' behaviors & internalize them, and you get a boy with insane anger issues and a superiority complex, who always has the highest expectations not only on those around him but especially himself & never learned how to communicate in a healthy manner. all this to say that as frustrating as bakugou's actions may have been, they're perfectly understandable & that fight was simply the end result of him and deku never having been able to talk things out before.....can you tell i've thought a lot about this character? LMAO ANYWAY, feel like this got a bit messy partway through but, rant over! hope i can catch the next stream & hope you're having a lovely day, gaz!
