2024-08-06 17:12:07 +0000 UTCA few things about this Episode: The ricecakes(balls) were filled with jelly which doesn't really work well with each other so it is implied to taste really bad and that the girl (Cecile Croomy) making them is also bad at cooking. It is not really a food combination we encounter in the west so it is more a small joke for japanese audience. It is a really common charactertrait in animes that some characters are notoriously bad at cooking to give them flaws and make them more fun to watch. Lelouch could be bluffing with killing himself but also i don't really believe that is the case, like he said he was dead circling back to his fathers words and how he lived his life up to that point. Beeing forced to not do something when he can and want to do something would equal to be as he was before and i believe he would rather die than to get back to that. He is risking his life every time he is going out to command and fight too. I am sure it was calculated that CC would give in but at the same time i don't think he was playing around. It is also a reoccuring topic in the show that "when the king doesn't move the people wont follow" which was basically the opening of the show and his reasoning why he opened his chessgame with moving the king. A really important thing many overlook is how Lelouch phrases his commands. We saw in Episode One that he can force people to kill themself and yet we mostly only see commands for current needs "give me your Knightmare" "Forget what you saw" and similiar things. A Girl he was testing on is scratching markings every day for a massive amount of time by now, so he isn't limited to short term commands either, so i personally believe it says a lot about him when he purposly chooses to keep his commands very non invasive. It is really fun to just think about what messed up commands he could use at any time during episodes, like in this one "give me your knightmare and then go on a killing spree among your colleagues" for example and then seeing what he actually commands and equally important who he commands. This one is a little behind the szenes information and is about personal Knights, Cornelias personal Knight is "Gilbert G.P. Guilford" a name you should write down too if you haven't already, he is exclusively under her command. Everyone in the Royal Family has a personal Knight for themselfs, which are kinda like assistants and bodyguards at the same time. Another Name you should add would be "Andreas Darlton" he is a General under Cornelias command and also leads the "Glaston Knights" those are the purple colored Knightmares we will see a lot of.
