2024-07-26 18:18:34 +0000 UTCMC is reincarnated into this new world. In his previous life he had been a shut-in and developed some severe social phobia. Given his social isolation he was also severely underdeveloped mentally and somewhat of a perv. After his reincarnation he retains his memories of his old life but gets to grow up again mentally and slowly develops, redeeming his character (mostly :-) There's a lot of hate for the MC early on. I've never really understood the ferocity of some of the haters - I always liked the MC. Sure he needs some improvement, but I think that he is basically a good person. The world building in this anime is amazing. The source material covers the MC's new life from birth to death, and the anime adapted from it so far has 2 seasons - 47 episodes and 2 OVAs - covering his childhood (S1) and early adulthood (S2). Season 3 has been been confirmed and the studio is committed to adapting the entire source material into anime form.

2024-07-26 17:12:12 +0000 UTCHi, the thing is that the first season didn't have an OP exactly, they were little scenes that gave you an idea of the location where the episode took place accompanied by the chorus you hear, the first one you saw was a Remix made up of several chapters, there was ED which is the one you saw with and correctly identified as ED. The second season did have a traditional OP, "Spiral" by Longman, I recommend watching the video of the song it's very beautiful and sentimental. As has already been said, the anime is controversial especially in the west, since the MC did a lot of bad perverted things in his past life, he's not the kind of isekai MC who once transported to another world becomes super powerful and fixes all his traumas overnight, he makes mistakes and these have consequences, the story follows the life of the protagonist from his birth in this new world until his departure from that world.

2024-07-26 17:04:29 +0000 UTCSo there are 2 seasons currently out, both seasons split into 2 parts, season 1 part 1 has 11 eps, season 1 part 2 has 12 eps, between season 1 and 2 there is a one episode special that is pretty important, season 2 part 1 and part 2 both have 12 episodes as well. So in total 48 episodes if you count the special. Also I hope you check out the full openings.

2024-07-26 17:04:08 +0000 UTCThe major sticking point with mushoku tensei is your personal limits in regards to how flawed an mc can be. The main character is deeply flawed and changes throughout, but it's gradual and not sudden. The other major stickler past that is... Would you view a child with past life memories as "actually an old man" or whether they're still a kid with memories. It's more complicated but it explains the problem people have with him without too much spoilers . It's a beautiful story. I might suggest waiting later til you're more accustomed to stuff .

2024-07-26 16:57:34 +0000 UTCThis show is definitely controversial. Mainly because of the main character. I'm gonna leave the judgement of his character up to you but if you decide to give it a chance, don't drop it. He will develop like a butterfly. This show can be super dark and it absolutely will have a lot of referee moments in it as well. Under the original song video of the season 2 opening 1, there are so many people who this show and the song also has touched and it's beautiful. I will not say why, because that's up to you to discover from the story, but I can say that I can relate as well in a few ways, luckily I didn't have it as bad. The first season had openings built into the episodes with each episode having their own animation taking place in real time instead of a set anime opening. Like they are showing the characters traveling and other eventless "fluff" into openings with some song in the back and it works. All you saw in the first season's openings is intended to be canon and help build the world and characters. The opening song is also so beautiful. The creators of this anime really love the show.
