@GazMASH, if you liked Mao Mao's Dance, which is based on the classical historical Chinese dance style, You would love many historical Chinese dramas because they always have a couple of scenes with dances such as these set in either in an entertainment house or in an emperor's palace. I recommend 'Nirvana in fire' (Lang Ya Bang is the Chinese name) or Rise of Phoenixes.

2024-10-17 12:16:18 +0000 UTCThis was one of my few new anime’s that I really enjoyed. Maomao is such an interesting character. Her voice-over narration throughout the season was so helpful to understand her & the story. I would’ve been clueless otherwise.

2024-05-23 21:24:31 +0000 UTC1:24 Lakan never knew what happened to Maomao's mother patrons aren't allowed to go back to the annex where she was. When Lakan visited they tried to keep him away from Maomao, and when he did see her as a little child she was scared of him. Lakan being face blind sees her as he remembers her from the past. 14:19 No she said she would have been ok if Lakan bought Meimei and Meimei is teasing her about having to dance when Meimei gets bought, Meimei's letter told Maomao Lafan bought her mother. Lakan knew that no one would believe he'd ever had feelings for a courtesan so he just went with playing the villain everyone expected him to be.

2024-05-23 01:26:05 +0000 UTCLove the series, I think my favorite moment was episode 19 where all the dots connected and all the small things even the three blacksmith brothers were connected. On a rewatch you notice small stuff in earlier episodes, like the ritual component piece that went missing is shown, or perhaps a disguised Suirei up to no good.
