It gave me goosebumps just watching the openings again, love this show. One of my fav. Anime/Manga of all time. Underrated!

2024-04-28 11:50:07 +0000 UTCIt's an older but really good Anime. The boxing is set in reality but has anime-stylazation so no superhero nonesense but still shonen-action. It's about our MC Ippo, a kindhearted pushover guy that gets bullied at school, one day he encounters the (worst)best person he could possibly meet and that leads up to everything happening in the Story. Sadly the Anime doesn't capture the whole story which isn't even finished and still ongoing with close to 1500 chapters at the moment. The story is all about and around Boxing, so the focus stays on Training with mates and coach -> Fight -> Recovvery with small slice of life takes -> training with mates and coach -> fight and so on. Personally i do think it is highly inspirational, after watching it with my former Boyfriend even i wanted to start this sport too. it's an old gem that gets overshadowed by Haikyuu when any reactor puts up a vote for an upcomming Sport Anime but it is definetly worth a watch.
