This is my favorite episode of the series for many reasons. Violet learns about sympathy and empathy in this episode. Sympathy towards the father and experiencing the pain of losing a loved one. Empathy towards Olive, a character from a story that never happened, and we the viewer experience empathy towards Violet, a character in a story that never happened. Love the animation when she jumps across the lake, that scene is used as examples in animation schools. "I must live with my sin now. For the rest of my life." Perfectly setting the viewer up for the final part of this episode. Concluding with the empty title card.
