MFS NEWS & POLL: Big change!
Added 2018-03-09 03:15:53 +0000 UTCEDIT: Due to recently being told that the Lucky Box tier isn't good with Patreon's Terms and Conditions, the proposed $10 Tier has been changed. Please have a look below before considering your vote in this poll.
Hello everyone,
Well, it's been quite the year I can tell you that... but I feel I can still do better.
But before I get onto what I want to talk about, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has pledged their support here, whether it be for a bit, or for the long run, and especially during the push by some very very helpful friends to bring more support in my time of need.
Thank you.
Now...
I've been mulling over the changes to this Patreon, but I wanted to run it by you here, so... I've been thinking of completely overhauling my current reward tiers, as shown below:
$1 and above - General Access
- Access to all ARTS; including things from the MFS SKETCHBOOK, dA WIPs, GEOFF WIPs, and the MFS Patreon Exclusives... But! All SKETCHBOOK and Patreon Exclusives are only JPGs, not full-res PNGs, and contain a (mostly) unintrusive watermark. Don't worry, I'll ensure they're still good for web viewing and the like.
- Access to vote in MFS Patreon Poll! The Polls are usually to help me what to draw next! Keep an eye on MFS News tagged posts for the next one!
- Thanks!
$5 and above - DL VER Access
- Get everything from the $1 tier and...
- Access to all DL VER of ARTS, where each month's drawings are posted in a single post, collected in a batch of lossless PNG files
- Thanks and much love!
$10 and above - Discount Access
- Get everything from the $1 and $5 tiers and...
- 15% Discount on MFS Commissions, Private and Public! (see Terms and Conditions)
- Behind the scenes!
- Early Access to MFS Patreon Exclusives!
- Thanks and much love and kisses!
And with that, I've even set up a poll for anyone who has pledged to put in their thoughts on this question:
What do you think of the suggested changes? Are they suitable for the MFS Patreon?
The answers are in this poll below: let me know by voting here, but if you have more you'd like to tell, please let me know via a comment below (a private message is also good if you wish to keep it... well, private).
I've got about two weeks to decide, so I'll wait and continue posting as normal until then.
Be well, and have a good day!
~MFS

Hello there, pardon me being late to the party, but while it's a shame that the others had addressed the raffle goes against policies here, I'm 130% glad and hobored to be your Patron, especially with these other new tier benefits. ^///^

2018-03-15 12:20:30 +0000 UTCI imagine it's because it narrows the potential people who can do this waaaaay too much. So, imagine a person who would need some money to become a Patron, and then be considered for a chance to win this raffle. With the commission discount though, I do keep my limits (so I don't go cuckoo) with The List, so they don't all swarm in or something. I... I think I need more ideas for a reward. It seems this will require a second repoll... Sorry

2018-03-11 23:10:46 +0000 UTCA'right, I've read the terms of service myself. It does say that you can't have rewards based on chance. Unfortunately, it doesn't elaborate much on this rule. Like, I dunno if making it optional or having the content viewable by people besides the winner works around it or not. The FAQ does condone having the ability to commission art as a reward, but jeez, that sounds like it's saying do that for every such patron. Can't see that happening lol. EDIT: The exact wording on that is "We restrict some types of content and rewards," and proceeds to list a few things including that. "Restrict" and "prohibit" are two different words, so maybe it just means there's a problem if the raffle is in some way unfair? But prior to that list it also says "You cannot" so I dunno man.

2018-03-11 21:32:43 +0000 UTCWait, the Lucky Box violates the terms of service? I never heard of that. Haven’t seen Jonny Atma get in trouble for doing something similar.

2018-03-11 15:22:58 +0000 UTCSounds good. Quick question, though: let’s say so-and-so wins that raffle and has a specific idea in mind; is there any issue with involving more than one character in a full-color artwork?

2018-03-11 15:21:55 +0000 UTCI think it's a good idea too, but I like the opt-in raffle because that way everyone in the tier has access to something exclusive just by being in the tier, if that makes sense.

2018-03-10 23:38:13 +0000 UTCDiscounts on commissions would be a fantastic idea!

2018-03-10 02:08:12 +0000 UTCAah okay, thank you very much for clarifying that. I was actually not aware that would cause a problem. As such, I may have to drop the raffle altogether and come up with a different reward for the $10 Tier. I am considering perhaps a discount on commissions, private or public if that doesn't cause problems.

2018-03-09 10:57:14 +0000 UTCI love all the ideas here but there's a problem with the lucky box idea and that's the fact that it violates patreon's TOS you could probably find a way around it by making the raffle optional like an opt-in opt-out kind of thing though

2018-03-09 10:47:09 +0000 UTCLove the Lucky Box idea, I'm all up for that. Great changes all-round though!
