HOTEL LEX - FLOOR 4 (15/?)

You quickly rush over to the desk and start searching for anything that jumps out at you. The bunny rushes over to a bookcase and starts tossing books onto the ground one by one. You pick up some old parchment paper with scribbles you can't read, a quill aged and withered, candle sticks with the wax frozen solid. You crack open a couple of the boxes and some jewelry spill out. You pick up what appears to be a pearl necklace and a trinket of sorts. You quickly stuff them into your pockets, half because it may be the thing the ghost is looking for, half because they were sparkly. You hear the wooden door buckle and you look up to see splinters forming as the door begins to crack. You look down and only scream. The cat has appeared before you sunken into the desk, his big obnoxious grin throwing you off balance.

"Tik tok, tik tok," he mouths out before slipping back into the wood.

You curse angrily while sweeping the desk one more time. In your haste, you knock over a couple of ink bottles off to the side of the desk and shattering on the floor. The bunny yelps as the glass and ink splatter everywhere. You quickly apologize as you look up at him but you freeze in horror. The bunny meets your gaze, confused before he realizes what's behind him.

You gaze a giant, shadowy figure that has managed to slip in through the cracks of the wood. You look at it's glowing eyes attached to its featureless face. It raises a hand almost the size of your head. Your breath now hitting the frozen air becomes cloudy.

The bunny is holding a book and his nose twitches and hand quivers. He dares not look behind him based on the expression on your face. You need not point for him to know danger is afoot.

> Dive to knock the bunny out of the way.
> Yell for the cat's help.
