2025-08-17 00:40:58 +0000 UTCBrianna's dance was really beautiful, and I loved it, but that wasn't African dance. That was praise dancing, something that comes from Black American culture and is quite sacred to us, I love that Brianna respected it and really brought it to life, especially with the haunting hymn that she sang as she danced. However, Madison's mother has really started to get on my nerves with a LOT of her culturally insensitive comments. In praise dance, yes, there isn't really a 'right or wrong way' nor do we care about technique. It's about telling a story, letting your body move, making people FEEL something. Brianna did everything right, and if she was at a praise dancing competition, she would have taken the gold.

2025-08-14 19:05:52 +0000 UTCI'm glad you understand that latin and ballroom dancing isn't always about making big faces. I am a ballroom and latin dancer and it really is more about the footwork, body movement, and faces are more subtle. Usually I only make big faces in Tango and even then it's not crazy over the top compared to other styles of dances. These judges really don't know what they are talking about.

2025-07-31 18:04:15 +0000 UTCI think Madison mom need to remember this is a reality show and Abby looks at this as how these kids would fair in Hollywood rather then just their dancing, I feel bad for the kid because she is likeable and makes good tv itβs not her fault theyβre allowing her to get this far, be mad at Abby, it reminds me of when the mom misdirect their anger in arguments and make a comment about Maddie rather then focusing on Abby who is the problem in both these situations
