patreon

A few words about commissions and suggestions.

First of all, I want to thank all our patreons, subscribers and customers for their support. Without your financial help, we would still be working for a salary in some company, drawing what we were told to. Now our artists have more freedom and higher incomes.

Recently, we have been trying to draw more pictures that subscribers voted for. This means we need to reduce the number of orders to do everything on time. But then I noticed that I was working even more than before, and debts for fulfilling orders were piling up. I even had to close commissions in March and April in order to draw up all debts on commissions and settle accounts with customers.

I decided to find out how was AmelodyJ doing. It turned out he had the same problems. What's the matter?

The whole point is that both in the commissions and in the pictures for voting, our patreons want more characters. This greatly affects the time needed to draw a picture.

First, the artist makes a sketch of the future picture. At this stage, the difference between a picture with 2 or 3 characters is not so noticeable. Typically, a sketch takes 7-8 hours, which is one working day.

Next comes the painting stage. And here the difference is very noticeable. A picture with 2 characters takes 3 days to paint, while a pic with 3 characters needs to be painted for 4-5 days. It's hard for me to imagine how long it will take to paint a picture with 5 participants, such as the top-voted Peter Parker fucking Wanda, Black Widow, Captain Marvel and Wasp.

And here I want to explain to you how pictures that win subscribers' votes are paid. Rzhevskii either draws these pictures himself, or pays other artists to draw them, for example, he orders the picture from AmelodyJ. If there are many characters in the picture, it is Rzhevsky's duty to pay more for it so that AmelodyJ earns the same amount in a month as usual. Otherwise, there will be an uncomfortable situation. For instance, this March the artists had much more work, but earned less.

AmelodyJ and I understand that pictures with a large number of characters are rare content and will attract more attention and subscribers to our page. But we are still at the beginning of the road. We still do not have a sufficient margin of safety to allow ourselves to slowly and carefully paint pictures with so many characters.

About next polls.

I propose to immediately weed out options with more than 3 characters next time we collect your requests. Believe me, this is not because we are lazy bums! We worked all March 7 days a week and still did not have enough time to draw all the commissions we took.

As soon as we increase the number of subscribers to at least 300, we will be able to draw at least one multi-character picture per month.

Aaww damnt mine next one would have four, but this is totally understandable.

I like that idea

How about a poll to choose the communities favorite characters of the scenes?

Totally understandable, I was wondering how you keep up with so many characters

I always figured ones with 4+ characters would be a hard ask, that's why I never made suggestions with more than 3 characters. I can completely understand your decision. Y'all are awesome!
