This has been something a LONG time coming. A betty and veronica parody comic book. I think I did one many years back but I didn't really have a decent story for it. This one I have PLENTY of story! Honestly, I would give it ALL up tomorrow if I could draw Betty And Veronica for Archie Comics in my style!
I know, I know... Where are the Doves? I am happily plugging away, but I realize that some of you really want to also see some of the classic comics of mine and working on Doves for four straight months is going to get many people impatient so I'll jump back and forth a bit to keep everyone happy (including me!).
Anyways... I hope you enjoy this one!

It's really cute! I hadn't thought much about Archie Comics characters for years though they are as ingrained in my mind as much as Scooby Doo. The cool thing is even in the middle of the Comics Code early days their creator did lots of private work of these characters nude, having sex, etc. Just passed around with "Stag Films" nothing that would be sold or reach the kiddies. A neat additional character is Cheryl Blossom - a redhead. Might be neat seeing your take on her? Neat history to that one. She's kind of a "Reverse theft" of the Underground Comix "Cherry Poptart" early mainstream adult comics. They didn't want to sue over it since Bode couldn't bring legal action for 'his' art style being appropriated for "Wizards". The latter was an awesome movie but ensured Cheech Wizard wouldn't ever get the mainstream film/tv treatment. An "Art style" can't be copyright - lucky or Disney would own them all and even Beanworld would have gotten a takedown in the 80s. Also "Streisand Effect" it would have advertised a niche character but probably only increased comics code hassles on their end.
