Appendix A: Elves In The World Of Terria.
Added 2020-06-25 16:23:06 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Sorry, I've been so silent for the past little while. I've been hard at work on my summer project and now working on page #8. The introduction doesn't really start until page 11 so we're getting close. This little adventure is sort of like the opening scene of a James Bond movie. A little bit of action that ties with the rest of the story.
I hope when the story gets going that you're going to love these three characters like I'm growing to enjoy drawing them!
There is going to be a series of appendix' at the end of the comic to reference the characters and creatures of Terria. Maybe it will add to the engagement in the story and characters for both you and me! I'll get a new and sexier drawing for this one as Elves in the world of Terria are not combative creatures.
I know a lot of you have been missing some Little Lorna drawings. I'm working on a commission at the same time and if there is anything you guys want to see, let me know!
I am really enjoying this different style of art and I hope you are too. I think I found that the traditional "Little Lorna" style was getting very tedious. Most of the time was taken doing finish work and I'm not that kind of artist. I like drawing and writing, not inking and colouring. I don't want to "dumb down" the Little Lorna art but I'm going to have to find a way so that I'm just not doing finish work 80% of the time.
I may cease doing the serialized Little Lorna episodes and go back to the random adventures. The Littles series was fun to do but I'm not "feeling it" with any other stories that I have attempted (the one with the mad scientist and the current one).
PLEASE let me know any crazy situations that Little Lorna can get into and I'll put it to a vote for the next one. The stories are non-canon so it can be in ANY situation an ANY setting. 15th century? Outer Space? Famous Actress?

-Little Lorna gets lost in the woods.
-Little Lorna is nominated for an Academy Award.
-Little Lorna is dispatched to Iraq.
-Little Lorna helps out a homeless guy
-Little Lorna love BlackLives!
-Little Lorna interns at the Clinton White House.

I enjoy the LL stuff, but I have to say, the Doves storyline/world really grabs my interest... I've had a somewhat similar idea vaguely formed in my head for years, but this is more interesting, and much more detailed. Looking forward to the next bit! As for a random LL adventure, I had the thought of her being a temple priestess in ancient Greece or Babylon or such. IIRC, Ishtar's were kept pretty busy.

2020-06-26 13:46:48 +0000 UTCPart of it is that it takes way too long to create a Little Lorna comic and I’m losing the joy in drawing if I plugging away at only a 6 page story that take me one or sometimes two months to complete. I’d probably happier to just do clean pencils that take me just a week or two to finish so I can move on but I feel it would change the presentation too much.

2020-06-25 19:00:00 +0000 UTCI can’t hide it, but i am bummed that you feel about LL this way. I fell in love with your art because of her shenanigans. I understand you wanting to do other stuff, but the way you speak about LL is like if you didn’t have to do anything related to her it would be the greatest thing ever. Feels like some of us are getting punished for liking something. Your approach at this is changing things for me as a supporter. Could you at least finish some of the stuff you started with her? Women’s work part 2 at least?

2020-06-25 18:54:29 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if that is where the Little Lorna burnout is coming from but both are good points. I feel exhausted ATM creatively. I’d like there to be more variation of girls in Little Lorna comics but it will ruin the obsessive nature of the stories. Part of its charm is that Little Lorna is basically the only girl and every guy is obsessed with her.

2020-06-25 16:46:53 +0000 UTCIn all honesty, I want to see more of this new stuff than the Little Lora stuff. Maybe it is just me, but I feel like there is only so far you can take a single character. Change is a nice spice. However, you could do Isekai, and put Little Lora in other worlds...
