I remember back in the day just getting into The Expanse right as scifi was considering pulling the plug, and then they announced S3 would be the last. Ithink there was a petition I signed, and I bought the blurays, anything to show Amazon there was a market. Thankfully Bezos was a fan of the show. And yeah, even if his response was extreme, Ashford believed he was doing the right thing. Drummer seems to have buried the hatchet if she was willing to have a drink with him. I think there's some reflection on his part at the end. He knows he was wrong, and he knows people died because of that, despite the best of intentions. Lastly, the reaction to Diogo getting pancaked did not disappoint. Now he and Miller can chat it up in the afterlife. Miller "I thought I told you to get laid, kid. Now you're here. You just can't stop[ losing, can you?"

Excellent finale, and it felt like one because this is the conclusion of the book it's based on. Also, I wonder with Anna. Replace her with Picard, same lines and actions... I'd dig that way more. I think "preachy" often comes down to delivery, acting chops, and how well-liked the character is itself. Even though I agree with everything Anna said, it feels different depending on the source. Silly monkey brain... Yeah these kind of are like Stargates. Fully agreed regarding villains. The hardest target to write is a character that stands against your "heroes" yet makes good points and clearly from their perspective view themselves as the good guy too. So compelling to watch. Regarding Clarissa or Melba, I don't think it's only about wanting the approval of Anna, I think she heard Holden talking in the brig, to himself, to Naomi, and at the end to Ashford, and realized he wasn't the demon she thought he was, that helped push her over the hump.
