Fantastic 4 Trailer Reaction

My turn, Josh!

Comments

I’ve been checked out of Marvel for sometime, but this looks interesting enough to possibly pull me back in. Cast looks good and I love the 1960s look. Could it be they finally figured out how to do the Fantastic Four?

I am cautiously optimistic. But from the trailer, it looks like the production crew GETS it. I love the retro 60s aesthetic.

I've never really cared about the FF franchise. During my comic book days of the 90s, I always found the series boring. I remember thinking that the two from the early 2000s were passable trash action flicks when I saw them with my roommates on DVD at the time. Never saw the one from a few years ago that bombed badly. This teaser looked okay, though. I imagine I'll find this new version similar to the early 2000s ones. Worth a throwaway looksee for a couple hours of action with too many attempts at one-liner humor. Maybe i'll be proven wrong and love it. We shall see.

It might be the first MCU movie I’ll see since Endgame. Looks promising!

Fair to be gun shy about it, the releases have been uneven for both Marvel and Star Wars. I like that this film is a period peace and the cast looks dope so I am down for it. Quantumania was the last MCU film I saw in theaters and it was a letdown. At the same time I have enjoyed a lot of the shows. Here's hoping they have learned something. The one major thing that will be hard to square in FF existing at at all since we have had a lot of flashbacks in the various movie and shows with maybe one FF easter egg. Just have to hand-wave it and hope the story is strong enough to make that part easy to ignore.

For a second I thought I got duped again, and it was one of those fake previews people make..but it did get better as it went along. Fingers crossed

FF 44- to roughly 81 and the Annual with Franklin is the best run any superhero series ever had.

I think this looks great. Love the retro stuff

Anthony MacEwan

All the animated and previous movie versions were such. Ya, I always voiced him in my head as a rough gravely voice with a bronx accent.

I'm actually looking forward to this one. I've been a big fan of the FF since a kid in the 60's, have almost every issue of the comic book starting with #12 from 1963 ( I have the earlier issues #7 and 9....I'm not rich enough yet to have the others). I don't think they cast the characters very well, but we shall see. The previous movie versions I rate from being so so to utter garbage. Also hoping that Marvel Studios have learned their lesson from the last couple of years of junk they have produced and made this one half decent.

My favorite comic book series I love the books from the 60s to 80s

Beautiful! The futuristic 60s! Ben in the hat and coat! Galactus! Herbie! Torch! But more than anything they get it! The whole conversation of Reed's guilt and Sue talking him down. "Ben has always been a rock"!!!

Ground Under Repair

I still enjoy the MCU stuff personally, but I feel an excitement for FF that I haven’t felt in a while.

Brian Moore

Ben's voice seems all wrong to me. He is supposed to have this rough voice with a corny NYC accent like a cliche cabbie from an old movie . Minor nitpick I guess.

Ken R

I just watched this a few minutes ago. I'm definitely interested. Looks like quite a throwback to the 1960's Marvel FF.
