UNCUT - Paper Moon (1973)

Kahn was a gifted actress and comedienne. We lost her far too early.

Thanks Ian & TA, I probably never would have watched that. It was a fun one. Little disappointed you didn’t recognize Madeline Khan from Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, and Clue. Somebody should put those on the wheel if TA hasn’t seen them

Wow, I guess I lucked out. I read in another comment that it was no longer on Paramount+. But, I had literally just watched it. Well, knowing you were going to react to it, I had downloaded the movie a couple weeks ago. Apparently, I was still able to watch it. It automatically erased after watching it and yea, it's not on Paramount.

First time watching a reaction to a movie I've never seen before. I watched the trailer and didn't think much of it, but I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great pick. I probably never would have watched it otherwise.

I got to sing this song once at a Cafe in Greenwich Village.

Tatum O'Neal is the youngest person ever to win an Oscar yet her dad didn't even show up to the ceremony.

Watching a movie is not like owning the Start Trek DVD set. I will try to watch PM soon. I just wanted to point out the scene where Madeline Kahn walks up the hill to plead with frustrated Addie. In the span of a few minutes, Madeline delivers her lines, yet pay close attention to how many emotions Madeline walks you through. In a few minutes Madeline sets up and moves through about 20 or 30 emotions in her negotiation with Addie and her wrenching personal story. The scene is available on YT as "Madeline Kahn Monologue".

It blows me away that at the late year when Paper Moon was filmed, they could still go to small midwest town and point a camera and make it look like the 1930s. I expect many of the scenes no longer exist. Same for the movie The Sting where the 1930s scenes could still be filmed.

James Baloun

Looks like that may be the case unfortunately. It is still streaming on MGM+

Josh (Target Audience)

Yeah not finding it currently on Paramount+. Could it have left at the end of the month?

I told my daughter when I introduced her to the movie a few years ago that it's a must-see for retail workers, lol. The cash register stuff is gold. Such an enjoyable relaxing watch for a Saturday morning :)

Such an offbeat pic but I love this movie. When I went to search for it I already had it on the DVR. The best line - How 'bout it honey, just for a little while. Let ole Trixie sit up front with her big tits.

Saw this in the theater when it came out. As a kid, I wasn't jazzed about black and white (vs color), but this won me over as it was a good story and well acted.

If you like Tatum O'Neal, you may want to check out the Bad News Bears. One of my favorite films as a kid, and I still love it today. Great acting and a story that has relevance even today.

Oh also I'm super stoked that y'all are watching this I am really looking forward to this reaction,, I only recently watched it this last year and I honestly should have watched it 20 years ago

Loki Incredible
