An A or S for me, but then I love Wesley’s character. I think he’s great!

This is not a bad episode to me. Not the best but solid B. Definitely some corny parts in this one but Star Trek is corny. Not that much worse than the second Unification episode without the fan service. It is corny as hell but it has Spock talking to Picard and Data so it is okay. Or the cringe part of the first part of Unification with the piano player and Riker. That was awful. But again it is in the episodes about Spock.

Won’t a lot of popular British tv shows end up with like 30 “series” (seasons in the US) which basically makes up for the lack of episodes per? Haha

I genuinely give this episode an A. I'm probably just a sucker for the "the world slowly turns against you" plot concept. Whether it's this, or The Thing, or Invasion of the Body Snatchers, or a certain arc in season 4 of Angel. I always enjoy that type of story.

To me it's a B cause I really liked the unsettling vibes and the Invasion of the Body Snatchers energy. Also, appreciate that the bump in writing quality the show has been getting finally got a chance to reach Wes!

A common difference between British TV shows and American ones is the number of episodes in a season. I am not one of those going to claim all British TV is better (we both make great TV), however insisting on longer seasons leads to filler like this or the dreaded flashback episode in many American shows.

The next one.....rubbing hands...my fave episodes all happen mid season 5 to the end of 6 with First Contact in there for real meat.

This episode was one of my favorites when it came out, just on account of beautiful Ashley Judd.

The episode is a D for me. It's saved from E because the sheer weirdness of the plot is enough to keep it interesting. Others just seem ready to despise it the instant that Wesley showed up. But even if some other character saved the day, the Enterprise crew getting addicted to Oculus headsets and the future's answer to Wordle isn't the making of a good episode of Trek.

Ashley Judd acting as anyone BUT Ashley Judd is usually always good. But the episode is why you never let anyone with the initials BB be the creative lead - it took 4+ other people to turn it into half an episode.

I'd give it a C. I understand D. But E? You were smiling and laughing the whole time! You "had so much fun with it." At least a D.

It hasn't taken long for Riker to have gone from Captain Who Beat The Borg, to Peter Principle First Officer Who Nearly Handed All Of Starfleet To A Random Hookup Who Has A Butt For A Head. Court Martial! In spite of that I love that Trek does goofy from time to time as a palate cleanser. Solid A.

I love this episode. It is one of the most popular episodes for them to re-air back in the day. Ashley Judd, Wesley's return, and Data's hero entrance are all great.
I don't care what anyone says.

Watching Wesley solve this “mystery” is like watching an episode of Scooby Doo.
In case you missed it Wesley is still supposed to have saved the day. I think they’re supposed to have repaired Data offscreen and he worked on the “cure” while Wunderboi kept the crew busy chasing him.
A bad concept and terribly written.

My sons fall out over that game....and watching everyone faking having orgasms is just hilarious! But hey...Ashley Judd is his GF!
