2025-01-09 21:14:39 +0000 UTCUhura always wore earrings. Earrings that signify something, I guess. Hard to think of many times when crew members altered their uniforms. Scotty finally wore a kilt with his dress uniform, and Spock wore the IDIC necklace in "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" as Gene wanted to make money off of merchandise. Those were both third season additions. Maybe Ensign Walking Bear would have had something, if they were willing pay the animators a bit more.

2025-01-04 17:44:58 +0000 UTCThat's what I thought a few seasons of TNG ago, but there have been several episodes over seasons 3 and 4 which they surprised most of us by hating and even though they do not totally match DS9 in every aspect definitely have some DS9-like elements - and it's been those elements that they've specifically called out as why they hated the episodes. That's what makes me wonder. So we'll see!

2025-01-04 07:42:37 +0000 UTCI'd rank this episode as just being below YE, BOBW, etc. Michelle Forbes is just a better actor than most of these people, and she isn't trapped in a child friendly, one dimensional role like most of them. She has way more attitude and edge to her than the guy who runs around cartoonishly telling anyone who will listen how much a warrior he is and how much honor he has. Ro gives the impression she would take Worf or Data out and not lose too much sleep over it. They're all G rated, and she's PG.
