OFFICIAL EPISODE REACTION VOTE (50 member goal)
Added 2024-11-01 21:00:07 +0000 UTCWe hit our stream goal of 50 Patreon members, and now you get to prove we were wrong to stop watching your favorite show by choosing which series for us to revisit for one episode! Here’s how it’ll work:
- Drop your episode choice in the comments. It can be any one episode (no two-parters or 2-hour episodes) from a series we’ve watched and stopped on the channel—whether we watched a full season or as little as one episode
- The TOP LIKED COMMENT will be the winner
- Make sure to read through the comments first! Repeat suggestions will split the likes between comments, so give a like to the one you want rather than adding a duplicate. Duplicates will be deleted
- The official count will end Sunday at 10pm Eastern and the winner will be announced
Here is a list of qualifying shows and what we already watched. Let’s see which you all want to revisit the most! 👀
Babylon 5 (pilot movie)
Battlestar Galactica (2004) (season 1)
The Boys (episode 1, Alex has seen all)
Breaking Bad (episode 1, Alex has seen all)

Babylon 5: S1.E20 ∙ Babylon Squared. This is the episode I use to HOOK people on B5 that gave up on it early.

2024-11-03 18:47:40 +0000 UTCIt's not billed as a "Part 1" each episode has a complete story, there's just flow from one into the next.

2024-11-03 17:32:00 +0000 UTCThis is a very unique episode that would be satisfying to see them watch even if they never watch another Buffy episode. Remember that it’s just one episode.. not a whole series, otherwise I would be pushing more for Farscape.

2024-11-02 23:45:57 +0000 UTCI love both shows and would be happy if they continued either. I chose to suggest Buffy even though I suspect they'd like B5 better because I couldn't think of a standalone B5 episode. It's a completely serialized show, so... Naturally, the first B5 episode someone posted (Passing Through Gethsemane) proved me wrong, and could work well enough on its own. I also voted for that one.

2024-11-02 20:54:51 +0000 UTCBuffy over Babylon 5? Really? Because of Halloween or what? - I mean ... I love Buffy ... but ...

2024-11-02 20:41:52 +0000 UTCThe Expanse - S02 E02 - Doors and Corners Epic ship battle scene, great political tension, hints at what's happened but leaves enough mystery, hints at what's to come but doesn't spoil the shows paradigm shift, Miller's cold-ass final scene... If anyone else is interested in the Expanse but has a better stand alone episode, please add on!

2024-11-02 19:54:15 +0000 UTCLove this guys, thanks for putting this idea out there. My episode choice is Battlestar Galactica sesaon 3 episode 15 titled Dirty Hands. (some sites mark it as ep 16). This is "hands down" the best episode IMO. It is one most of us can relate to as humans. So I implore everyone here to vote for BSG: Dirty Hands. :) Thank you for your consideration.

2024-11-02 17:13:31 +0000 UTCIt's a good choice... but incomplete without the 2 episodes that bookend it.

2024-11-02 17:12:21 +0000 UTCGood episode... not great, though. I personally wouldn't use it as a selling point for the show, although that closing scene ALWAYS gets me.

2024-11-02 15:15:01 +0000 UTCThat episode is the first of two parts and as I understood it, they said no two part and any single episode of our choice as long as it was not a two-parter

2024-11-02 15:09:07 +0000 UTCClone Wars Season 7 episode 9. It's tough because the Clone Wars goes in story arcs, but if I had to pick just one episode to try and get you to watch more, I think that's it. It's the start of the final story arc which takes place just before and during Episode 3.

2024-11-02 04:09:44 +0000 UTCBattlestar Galactica Season 2 Episode 1 Yes you stopped too early (A.K.A. You shouldn't have stopped) This serseries has to be watched in order. Watching it out of order would be confusing and full of spoilers.

2024-11-02 02:25:51 +0000 UTCQuantum Leap S2E22 " M.I.A." Simply one of the best episodes of TV ever aired. The problem with choosing a single episode of QL is not ruining the experience if you decide to jump back in. M.I.A. is the perfect stand alone example of how great the show really was without spoiling the series IMO.

2024-11-01 21:58:11 +0000 UTCExcellent choice, felling love Farscape and one of my favorite episodes. I was initially thinking an episode from season 1 might be better, but I guess this episode isn't that spoilery, and I'm sure they'll appreciate all the practical effects and mix of comedy/seriousness that showcases what the show is like pretty well. So let's go Farscape fans!

2024-11-01 21:08:20 +0000 UTCBabylon 5 Passing Thru Gethsemane. It can be watched as a somewhat standalone episode (as much as any B5 episode can be considered standalone) and it does a great job of showing B5's balanced and powerfully dramatic portrayal of societal issues, religion, etc.
