I've seen this film - and like Alex says at the end, I like this film. The first time I saw it was its airing on some Saturday afternoon broadcast about two decades ago. First, I saw the main character and thought 'OK, another wrestler is trying to be an actor.' But then I caught the "look" of one of the creatures - and THAT hooked me as saying this has more to it than Roddy Piper, alone .... MUCH more. At that point I was in ..... and the revelations given during it did indeed make me re-think our reality, and know the allegory could be rooted in at least some fact. YOUR WATCH reinforced that ideal; I like your reaction as much as my own during my own "first watch" as a boy on that lazy but surprising Saturday afternoon so long ago...............

Nick, when he first appears (before the watch begins), looks like famous film actor DOM DELUISE!! (pronounced del-u-EEZE) Google that name and find out for yourselves to see the likeness. Famous for lots of comedies, and his son Peter is known for directing/producing episodes of the TV series version of Stargate. I brought this up as the FIRST thing I thought of when the watch begins is how much Nick looks like him! Guys, perhaps you're already aware, but people "out here in the world" are often paid lots of money for be a celebrity "look-alike" ..... and I strongly recommend Nick look into being hired as being Dom's look-alike in some future project, SAG film, TV commercial, or otherwise. I'm not kidding. Hey, even a cameraman should have those opportunities, too. Right?
