I say that with the experience of 33 yrs of law enforcement.... people are very, very strange. Your video above strongly recalls the last episode (please don't watch it unless you watch the entire series, it won't have the same impact), but I'm almost certain Barney Miller was the first TV show to do the 'look around, turn off the lights fade to black' thing. Damn that was a good show....
