I can't decide if I'm more amazed or more scared! No matter what though, I'm having SO MUCH FUN with this! But I must say this….and I’d be doing a terrible disservice to my fellow man if I didn’t……As a born again Christian, this is VERY SCARY. Scripture has been interpreted a few ways, but I for one have reached the A.I. “red line” I think. I was intrigued by ChatGPT in the beginning. But I kind of saw where this was going, and once again, as a Christian, I decided to back off immediately. I haven’t gotten back into it since. I also think Elon Musk Neuralink is a very dangerous idea.

Now I've learned plenty of how it works and it no longer freaks me out but I think that's less about knowing how it works and just because it's gotten effectively dumber. I kinda think they intentionally dumbed it down

2024-10-03 20:28:20 +0000 UTCive used AI to help me write code before. its a great way to get a start on projects. its not perfect and you have to do a ton of debugging but I like it to lay down a starting point. This was pretty cool. I can imagine this being used to make podcasts in the future people get paid for this stuff and if you can make a 10 min pod like this just by putting in transcripts I could see someone spending very little time online makeing a ton of these and boom instant profits ... total ferangi move bro..

If it was really advanced, it would have mentioned how the two of you are different or have mentioned a quote from at least one of you. I didn't know that the season-ending theme music was AI. Perhaps I should have guessed that as another podcast was using a feature like that to create a song on current events for the end of each week. The season 3 Target Audience ending theme song was really catchy. It really got stuck in my head for awhile.

I own an executive consulting business and have pivoted over the past 18 months to focus almost exclusively on generative AI training and adoption. It's amazing what people don't know about it yet, and the technology is changing / improving rapidly. Still, with being immersed in it, the NotebookLM podcast feature took me by surprise.

But thinking to "The Wounded", there's really nothing you'd change, you said. We're reaching levels of Star Trek where even Josh and Alex think it's perfection. About this AI, wow. I've used plenty of ChatGPT but nothing remotely as unique as this, it sounds so real.
