2024-08-05 19:34:28 +0000 UTCI'm going through DS9 for the first time with my husband and... a few good episodes here and there, but the first couple seasons are bit rough again, just like TNG. Not... TNG Season 1 rough, but still not great.

2024-08-03 02:23:55 +0000 UTCI love that they tackled the idea of a high functioning race like the Vulcan's getting Dementia. Dysregulated emotion weaponizes his mental abilities. If I recall correctly part of why Vulcan's follow the tenets of Surak and tightly control their emotions is because of how intense they were; but also like you guys pointed out, how hard it must be to live this existences where you have to repress all emotion, positive and negative. It could have been a really hacky episode but it really is one of the best and a great use of a TOS cameo. It also reminded me of Patrick Stewart's performance of Xavier in Logan.
