Need to combine them, “There are those who believe…on STAR TREK the next generation!

They fill the purpose of the old Next Time on previews that aired after the episode to hook you for the next week. Just instead of being the week earlier, they are at the beginning of the episode. So I assume people who keep watching to see next week's previews, would be the ones who paid attention to these. Just be grateful that we don't get the annoying voice over that describes what the plot is ending with... "Next Time on Star Trek the Next Generation....". I really didn't like the voice over guy.

I have to click on the title of this post to get to all the comments.

Same issue here. No luck with refreshing either.

Blaine Martin

Just a glitch. Refresh should fix it.

Why can I see only two comments? Of all postings.

My season 1 dvds were off of the Sky TV version of the show before we got the US version and I don't think they did the the little montage. That being said, I didn't mind them on later seasons because I still didn't have any real idea what the disconnected shots meant. I think Starbuck used tape, not paint or Cylon raider goo, to put her name on the bottom of the wings, the same stuff as she used to close up the hole in her suit. I dig that this episode just her up as not only resourceful but also a savant level pilot. She can just fly anything.

You know, it's strange. I've been to Mexico, and the sun looked normal there.

I used to like the little preview shots at the start. With the drum music it served to hype me up going in.

tyranusfan

I always liked the preview shots, myself.

Michael Ducharme

Yep, I always closed my eyes for the preview shots. Spoilers are the worst!!

When watching the show when it was first airing, there was a lot of heated discussion about them on the official Sci Fi boards and not many people either liked or watched them. I always skipped them myself, but then watched them when I saw the episode latter in the week to see what little hints they held.

Brina Blue

I always loathed the preview shots, but each to their own here.

Lovok

You’re not wrong, but personally I always skipped it. I liked seeing an episode without any hint of what’s to come.

Dave Kowalchuk

Hint it's ok to watch the preview shots in the opening because you are meant to see them. The original audience saw those preview shots.
