Rebecca Sugar played this song "Here Comes a Thought" on her ukulele at San Diego Comic Con a few weeks ahead of the episode premiering back in 2016; all we knew was the episode title and that it had a lovely new song, and there were so many theories of who or what it could be about. What we got was truly special and, as you said, ahead of its time with talking about mental health and relationships in a poignant yet approachable way for kids to understand. And this was 2016...9 years ago! AND we were all just off of basically all of season 3 airing daily for a MONTH straight (the Summer of Steven, as Cartoon Network called it)...so this was a lovely reminder to breath and re-center after all that.

Rose is the sole exception, wearing her normal dress in this episode. In the painting, however, she has a tan shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a satchel strap, and what looks like a cravat/ascot around her neck; and while her legs are obscured by Amethyst's hair, a little bit of what appears to be her normal dress is poking out from behind it, implying that she was either wearing the dress underneath, or had a skirt version of it.

For Steven, it means, "I'm present in this moment" and for Connie it means "I'm here for you". And actually, for Stevonnie it's literal. They're here, which means their relationship is stable.

You want something with loads of coverage, but thin and breathable. Basically dress like a Bedouin, they spend most of their lives in the desert so they’re very good at dressing for the conditions.

Ruby focuses on one thought or situation and pours all her energy into that one thing, becoming overwhelmed with a single thought. Sapphire on the other hand gets overwhelmed by countless thoughts and possibilities about the future and different worries. Ruby gets perspective from Sapphire and Sapphire gets grounding from Ruby.

You're usually incredibly perceptive and always questioning every little detail (one of my favorite aspects of you as a reaction youtuber), so you might want to rewatch that episode. I'm not gonna spoil anything, though. Happy hunting. On another note, I'm glad you enjoyed Mindful Education so much, it's a mark of a great show that it can tackle such deep topics and make them accessible, even to kids.

It's a perfect simplification of learning to calm yourself by slowing down and focusing on one thought at a time. I was, like, 24 when this episode came out and ever since I've wished that I would have heard something like this as a kid.

Because it not only gives us an amazingly cute song about confronted negative thoughts WITH your partner and about fusion, but it also highlights just how much Steven is dealing with internally and all the things that are eating at him. He is happy go lucky most of the time and tries to keep this act up to support the people around him, but this gives us a window into his true feelings. I always LOVED that.
