Fully agree. The whole point is to hear an honest and personal reaction from Josh & Alex. Even if I have a different take for an individual episode, it's interesting to see how minor or major elements can provoke a different response.

If Miles O'Brien had been the accused then this story might have had more dramatic potential. We know Riker very well by this point, including how he acts around women. We haven't seen O'Brien to any real extent and we wouldn't know exactly how he would respond in a situation like this. Plus, as a supporting cast member, he would be much more 'expendable' to the series than the 2nd ranked cast member.

If you haven't already seen it, I think you guys would like the movie Basic (Travolta, Samuel L Jackson), as it is one of these stories. Something happens, and you get to see different people's versions of what "really" happened. It's a fun movie.

Yes indeed, a very good episode filled with great character insights. Looking forward to the discussion of this one. On a side note, it's still not my favorite of the season lol. We shall see what you guys think of what's yet to come. Thanks as always. 🖖

Wow, I don't remember this episode at all. It does remind me a bit of a few Red Dwarf episodes. Apparently a season 4 Star Trek TNG episode almost blatantly stole an idea from Red Dwarf for a somewhat similar episode. Perhaps this is one episode I need to watch again, assuming that I ever watched once the first time. I watched most of this season's episodes at a friend's house when we took a break from other doing things; perhaps I just missed it entirely like perhaps a few others. (It looks like the Picard facepalm episode was followed immediately by the Riker facepalm episode.)

Without meaning to TNG predicted the mob mentality of social media, where mere accusations are damning and opinions are treated as facts 😁

U guys gotta stop listening to these gaping vaginas in the comments . It definitely bothers u and it would me too . It’s annoying. Everyone watches different and for different reasons with all programming. I liked the episode who cares lol u thought it was good but not great who cares I’m here for your insight and objectivity towards all media which is what’s makes a first time viewing channel great . Keep up the good work . Ps the chats and comments are literally poison

I thought it was a mildly interesting examination on human perception, but it still didn't engage me all that much.

I don't care what anybody says, this was a really good episode and better than some of the "classics" that came shortly after. Give me a mystery over Worf telling me how honorable he is any day.
