No? Born in '77. Or, "Go Fish" as we used to say in the pre-videogame days. ;)
I like a good slow burn as much as the next guy, as long as it amounts to something in the end.

Sorry I didn't say what the Bad news was. My mother has COPD, and she apparently has a touch of Pneumonia and was having trouble breathing in the early hours of Sat. Night.

That is probably the Case for most people that are under 30-35 that are used to fast paced reveal everything before the end movies today. It's pretty much the Same with music now. Most songs are 3:00 minutes or less today with Autotune and other gimmicks that don't require much talent in Instrument skills.

Sorry I missed the Stream, like you Josh I had a bad news Personal Matter on Sat. night. But I have watched and like the Wheels choice! Great movie, but not for most young people these days that are used to movies Spelling everything out right away (Present Company Suspected). LOL....that's my funny Archie Bunker Line for today. That's Archie Bunker from the Classic T.V. Comedy All in the Family if you didn't know.

If you want quality, just go straight to Godfather 3. Now THERE is a classic! It's right up there with Rocky 5 and Jaws 4.

That chronological edit of the two movies is how I first saw them (when the BBC broadcast that version). It is still my preferred way to watch them. Personally, I think it makes the films more of a focused emotional experience.

The Godfather series of movies may be the most over rated film ever produced. It's plodding, anachronistic, and dull.

I'm on the $5 tier, but the Godfather is pretty much the best possible choice in my mind. A classic movie that deserves its habitual placement at the top of film rankings. And it's ALL ABOUT character; it's about a family at the end of the day. Hopefully right up your alley.

I liked the Untouchables. (Although, looking back at it now, some parts are so over the top melodramatic it borders on comedy.) The closest movie I have in my collection to a "mob movie" is probably Lucky Number Slevin.

Tampa Theatre ran this in the summer classic series one year. Was cool to watch the film in a historic theatre from the 1920's. Godfather 2 is in the summer classic series this year interestingly.

What's Star Trek? We're in a universe where they only make mafia movies.

That would be interesting to watch. Vito growing up, getting revenge, young Clemenza then Pentangeli over the years, then have the boys all celebrating before everything went to shit.

The Godfather largely has one version that is out there. HOWEVER, there is a combined version of Godfather 1 and 2 re-edited chronologically, adding many deleted scenes. This was first done for Network TV in the 70's making a miniseries of sorts, out of both movies. Recently HBO, did a high definition version of that version of both movies. I am not sure if it's ever been officially released on video and streaming. DVD and blu ray sets of the Godfather movies generally offer what was added to that version as separate deleted scenes,

The wheel was spinning when a neighbor stopped by so I only just now saw what won. I do have The Godfather, which I did like when I finally got around to watching it but I don't know if I want to watch it again. Mine is in the set called The Coppola Restoration.

It's a good one, definitely not your average blockbuster. On paramount+, they have a fictionalized series on the making of the film, called The Offer. I would recommend it once you watch the movie.
