The TJW PARSO Youtube channel does TNG episode clips and they use the audio from this episode to have Picard say "good lord, didn't anyone here subscribe? Thank you" on all their clips

But its even worse than that because a gravity assist only works when an object passes you (usually in orbit) and you use some of its momentum to change the direction/speed of your craft. If you just moved towards an object all the momentum you gained moving towards it would be completely cancelled when you moved away.
