Mentioning American politics in a public forum you can't moderate is like chumming an Olympic sized piranha tank. I'll keep it succinct:ย My personal outlook on our current political landscape is... bleak. And that is a vicious understatement. Fortunately, I have friends in Germany who will help extract me if things get hairy. And honestly, I do not see things getting any better any time soon.

I was worried you would despise this episode solely because it was Joker focused, which, you know, fair. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. The way this show managed to humanize the Joker of all people is such good writing. Makes the writers all leaving to work on Kiteman sting even more.

Even if he has a little memory loss, it's not that big a deal. He's only 4 years older than the last guy, and no one made fun of Trump for that. (Granted there's a lot of other reasons to make fun of Trump, but still.) I just can't stand when people are mocked and called weak just because they're old. Hell, Attenborough, who you've rightfully praised in the past is still making documentaries, starting to experience the same memory loss, and he's nearly 100. Seniors, octogenarians, and centenarians can all still do great things.

At time of writing we have exactly six months left in the general election. That's like... three Liz Trusses. How does that Gaelic curse go? "May you live in interesting times" That's probably potato salad, or macaroni salad - they are more appropriate sides for hot dogs and watermelon. Summer BBQ foot. This one felt like a one-off, like the Batman focused episode back in season two. Ordinarily shows do those for logistical reasons, like if the leads are unavailable (or directing the episode...), but I can't imagine how that would apply to animation. The end is near, and Harlivy take center stage again for most of it. Especially the Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special.
