Free! gave us some cute pairing so I guess I'll add Haru and Rin into the bracket. They really fired each other up. Although Haru only really seemed to get jealous of others taking Makoto, he still seemed to always get excited around swimming with Rin the most. Rin and Sosuke are also fun but they both wanted the bottom bunk.. and well you can't have two bottoms

2024-09-10 06:57:01 +0000 UTCI'm going to go w/ a classic in sports anime fandom: Inui Sadaharu/Kaoru Kaidoh (aka Emerald pair) from Prince of Tennis! My heart also says Sanada/Yukimura (the alpha pair) or Shishido/Otori (aka the Silver pair - a legacy ship too that had ) as PoT has mannnyy ships. But my gut points to Inui/Kaidoh. Inui is the stereotypical megane, data obsessed senpai of the main team Seigaku. Kaidoh is a 2nd year who is nicknamed Viper given his mannerisms. Kaidoh is kinda tsundere and in the original anime, he has tsundere chemistry with everyone even those on rival teams. He's tough on the outside but is a softy. He clings to Inui and Inui essentially becomes his caretaker (on the tennis court that is). There's an episode where due to miscommunication, Kaidoh thinks Inui is asking him on a date (Kaidoh even flusters and seriously considers!). Livejournal was all over them (here's one thankfully alive post of some pics and doujins: https://potpicspam.livejournal.com/4291.html). The original PoT is seriously a gold mine for shipping and the late 00's during the LJ era was thriving with content. But Inui/Kaidoh for the old school sports shippers.

That anime is my comfort sports anime, and the hilarity that is Hiruma's chaos devil energy that is soooometimes for a good cause ACTUALLY working and inspiring Sena to work hard and follow his dreams? Fucking precious cheesy bs there. Also we got a size difference so grand, Sena is fucking tiny next to the noodle tower that is Hiruma. We love bullies to lovers right XDDD????
