BSG Video Premiere
Added 2024-04-28 23:00:07 +0000 UTCYouTube reaction to Battlestar Galactica The Miniseries is premiering on YouTube in 1 hour (8pm eastern). We’ve personally been excited for this video because it should be a good test of reaction viability outside of Star Trek for the channel.
We have not reacted to a non-ST series on YouTube since Quantum Leap, which was August-October of last year while we watched the first 4 TOS films. It had similar results as Buffy & TWD in 2023… not good. While we realize at that time we only had roughly 6,000 subscribers which does matter, when we watched Firefly in 2022 with only 2-3 thousand subs it performed much better than any of the series we tried in 2023.
We’ve come a long way since October, in growth & production, and this series has seemingly big fan crossover with Star Trek as well as large mass appeal with sci-fi fans. If this doesn’t do well, then reacting to other series for YouTube will most likely once again be shelved.
Tonight and this next week before TNG S3 starts on YouTube next Monday is an important one for the channel. The results of the videos posted this week will have a large impact on how our channel (YouTube & Patreon) will look outside of Star Trek for the rest of the year.
If you want us to watch BSG & other series like it, in addition to the 2 episodes a week of Star Trek, then we would appreciate watching this video and giving it a like.
