2024-04-22 07:06:40 +0000 UTCI can relate, kind-of. TNG is the only Star Trek series I really enjoy. And I can't/won't watch the newer stuff—I don't do fan fic. So, I guess I'm not a Star Trek fanatic, except maybe when it comes to TNG. Which I've always seen as what TOS *should* have been.

2024-04-17 12:51:31 +0000 UTCAll I remember is my mother made it kind of a big deal because she’s a Trekkie too. A new Star Trek show was a big deal. My only actual memory is the beginning where Q appears in a flash on the bridge. The rest is a blur. But to see it live as it premiered….that’s something. All I can say is that TNG is so good that it makes (to me) new Trek cringe. But those were fond memories. I was even a member of the Star Trek Official Fan Club, and got the magazine every quarter. They’re still in my attic along with the Klingon Dictionary!

How we use to do the same thing in the 70s and 80s....but watching T.V. Reruns of our Fav Sci-Fi shows or on his Laser Disk, then VCR, DVD. I'll repeat what I said in my close of that letter.
