Time Squared | First Time Watching Star Trek TNG (S2E13)

Great episode and reaction. This ranks at #5 for me for season 2, just ahead of A Matter of Honor and behind #s 2, 3, and 4 that are yet to come. You're starting to get to The Good Stuff, though I should point out that the bottom 2 of season 2 are also yet to come.

Intelligent Donkey

You met Dr. Manheim in "We'll Always Have Paris, " FYI.

Angelaina Marie

Absolutely. Everyone is different. Just wanted to name the episode and no more. Avoiding spoilers. I just love TNG!!!

'Clues' is a lot of fun, but ST fans can have different priorities about what 'best' episodes should be. Also, there are another 2 TNG episodes that have a similar concept, but a different tone to 'Clues'. Maybe it doesn't standout to some TNG fans for that reason.

This (and other issues) would have made more sense if the original story concept of Q causing this time loop had been kept.

Loved this one, but... Picard literally committed murder. The future Picard had committed absolutely no crime whatsoever.

So I mentioned this before, but originally in "Q Who" in the scene when Picard and Q are in the shuttlecraft, they see the anomaly, indicating this episode was a Q test, which fits with what Q tries to teach Picard about time.

Really, really enjoyed this one. It's surreal, creepy, and everyone is out of their depth!

Agreed! This is a rare one. In most episodes, there is usually SOME kind of B plot, but its nice once in a while to have an episode that focuses on one story. “Clues” is a great example, and frankly, one of the most underrated episodes of all time. Clues is in my top 20. But I digress.

Chris S.

As it should be, there should be no B plot when the entire ship is faced with its own mortality

Evan Guthrie

I think Time Squared is one of your best reactions. There was no B plot. It was kind of creepy, and it was fascinating to see where it was going. You guys barely commented during the episode AT ALL. You seemed to really be into this one. I like it. When the camera pulls back to reveal the other Picard in the shuttle, its freakin creepy! Awesome job on this as usual!
