POLL: Next Patreon Exclusive Movie Reaction

Below are the highest ranking movies from the last poll that did not win. Keep in mind this will be a FULL UNCUT reaction, so you will need to sync with your own copy. If there are different versions of the film chosen we will cross that bridge if/when we get there.

All of these movies have been on multiple polls, so the threshold for the losers to return to the next one will be 25%

Neither Alex or Josh has seen any of these movies

High Noon is also on 85 minutes long.

Chtphr Rrr

If you want a Western perhaps similar to Twelve Angry Men, perhaps try High Noon. I remember reading an article that rated the two movies together with some movies I can't remember as having similar views about the world.

Chtphr Rrr

Time After Time was the pick out of these four I think, and it would make a good double feature with Murder By Decree. This reminds me of when Quantum Leap beat out Twin Peaks.

Ken R

Last ditch plea to the Time After Time voters. Its looking too late for TAT to get over 25%, but your vote could make sure that Tombstone sees another poll at least!

James Bottas

I think Starfighter has too thin a lead for that.

JD Nevesytrof

And starfighter voters, you could help Tombstone stay alive while starfighter stays in the lead. You can afford it. Just sayin :))

James Bottas

Voted Tombstone hoping for a Christmas miracle. Maybe we can do a western poll sometime in the future. It would be fun to keep adding new genres.

Mills

I would like to ask that everyone consider strategically moving your vote around if it's currently for something that isn't going to win.. and consider putting it towards something that needs to get up to 25% to stay alive for next time... like Tombstone ;) make it count in a different way

James Bottas

Straight up sabotage ๐Ÿ˜…

James Bottas

Yes Santa Claus Conquers the Martians but no Tombstone? Damn. Life ain't fair.

JD Nevesytrof

Cmon-Tombstone IS the ultimate bro movie..

Badger

Oh no complaints here, just stating an observation. ๐Ÿ™‚

TalynStarburst

Just a reminder that the first 2 winners were a historical biopic & a crime drama

Josh (Target Audience)

Agreed that the director's cut is the way to go. What's missing otherwise is actually pretty major and is way too huge an omission imo. We have to try minimizing those "Scotty's nephew" situations for the channel ha

James Bottas

Ooh, it's a close one right now!

Anthony Bernacchi

I get that because they are a Star Trek reaction channel, the votes are going to be skewed toward sci-fi titles, but if that's going to be the way every poll goes, it's going to get awfully stale for both J&A and us.

Ca$hWednesday

The Director's Cut is definitely the better version, but like you I haven't seen that movie in over a decade.

Ca$hWednesday

The Abyss would be a good choice as the new 4K version is now available. I don't have an opinion on whether to watch the longer Directors cut or not as I haven't seen either in years. Time After Time is also great but again I haven't seen it in a long time. Multiple links to Trek in that film, both in terms of themes and actors that appear in both.

Paul Rymer

All good choices.. at least we did get Firefly/Serenity. But yeah you are right.. their channel is pretty much set in stone now.

TalynStarburst

Young Guns was the first western I ever seen! I definitely would love to see them react to both movies!

TalynStarburst

Because of Star Trek you get a collection of mostly sci-fi enthusiasts. If you want a Western try suggesting "Westworld" (I mean the original movie by Michael Crichton although if they ever did the series I would be down for that as well, I'm one of the few fans who loved every season up til it got canceled) or maybe "Cowboys and Aliens" with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.

Tristan Rose

If they take Tombstone away imma start up with Young Guns lol

James Bottas

All these comments about Tombstone.. but it ends up last in the poll. Such a good movie, hope it wins on the list someday

TalynStarburst

Nope. Well World, my expectations for you were low.... but holy fuck! Lol

James Bottas

It's not looking good right now

Ca$hWednesday

There is no justice in this world if Tombstone falls out of eligibility to return in the future

James Bottas

It was a race between the Abyss and Time After Time but I chose TAT because if it's connections to Star Trek with Nick Meyer writing and directing it. I heard some of the fish out of water gags in Trek 4 were ones thought of but not used for TAT

Mike Rogers

Oh dang, TOMBSTONE! What a great flick!

JD Nevesytrof

I voted for Tombstone itโ€™s the most engaging movie on the list and you could use a sci-fi break

Jonathan

Agreed, one of things I like about this channel is they can choose the really uncommon movies. I love Tombstone and the Abyss, and it'd be great to still have them watch it at some point. But it'd be fun to have them watch The Last Starfighter and even Flight of the Navigator

Firekrys FWO

I'd want you to watch Tombstone if for no other reason than to give you more perspective on the TOS episode Spectre of the Gun.

StealthMomo

It's probably the least of the movies on the list even though I love it, but The Last Starfighter is by far the best reaction movie on this list.

John M.

I have to say The Abyss. James Cameron. Not the greatest movie in the world, but Ed Harris is unbelievable in anything he does.

Chris S.

The Abyss.

Monty Crawford

I pick

Monty Crawford

Time after Time is my pick, it's a fun little movie.

Phillip Grischa

I was gonna recommend Tombstone, but thanks for recommending "Time After Time" never heard of it & looked up the trailer, now that is a Wild Film, I definitely got to check that out this weekend, hope you guys cover it someday

Justin DiBari

No, I didn't have any interest in any of these the last time they were up, so I'll pass on this poll.

KatWithAttitude

Tombstone is the best of the bunch but I get the interest in the other titles.

Stephen Wright

Tombstone. These guys do so much Science Fiction these days.

Steven Johnson

Damn tough call between tombstone and the last star fighters

Chris Rubano

Results says "Tell me you are an 80's sci-fi nerd without telling me" (I am one)

AzoriusMage

Abyss and Last Starfighter both excellent but I'm a sucker for a good Western and I love Tombstone.
