POLL: Patreon Exclusive Movie for September
Added 2023-08-30 14:00:05 +0000 UTCLast week we asked for your suggestions on what film to watch as a Patreon exclusive reaction. We took a combination of the most liked recommendations and the ones we had interest in, that neither of us have seen, to make this list. Keep in mind this will be a FULL UNCUT reaction, so you will need to sync with your own copy. If there are different versions of the film chosen we will cross that bridge if/when we get there.
We will be doing 1 of these per month moving forward, so all of the movies that don't win the poll this time will be kept on for the next poll, unless they don't surpass single digits in the vote percentage, and we will continue to ask for other suggestions in the future as well.
For this poll specifically, neither Alex or Josh has seen any of these movies

Yes I agree add this to a future poll please.

2023-09-03 07:44:26 +0000 UTCCan everyone voting for not Apollo agree to move to another one please. Maybe Time After Time

2023-09-02 11:50:49 +0000 UTCI just remembered another great time travel movie if you'd like to add it to the list for someday. 1980 The Final Countdown. Martin Sheen and Kirk Douglas. I think you'll really like it.

2023-09-01 02:33:22 +0000 UTCDark City deserves more respect. Director's cut is a must though.

2023-09-01 00:27:21 +0000 UTCI'm with you, the Director's cut is perfect.
MrDeadstu
2023-09-01 00:25:38 +0000 UTCThe TV series is awesome! Made by Terry Matalis, who worked on Star Trek Enterprise and the good third season of Star Trek Picard that brings back the TNG crew.

2023-08-31 15:07:24 +0000 UTCI went with 12 Monkeys too.. and wanting to watch the series at some point
TalynStarburst
2023-08-31 03:53:35 +0000 UTC12 Monkeys is the best movie on this list, so that’s what I picked.
whacky deli
2023-08-31 02:51:17 +0000 UTCApollo 13 is a fantastic film too (don't get me wrong)
James Bottas
2023-08-31 02:35:42 +0000 UTCit was a draw between The Abyss and 12 Monkeys for me. went with Abyss simply because it was one of my suggestions so felt I should vote for it, but I do hope the channel gets to both eventually... (big Apollo 13 fans in the TA apparently lol). 12 Monkeys another crazily good movie tho
James Bottas
2023-08-31 02:33:43 +0000 UTCHad to vote for 12 Monkeys with Bruce Willis. It's such a great movie that even got a tv series just a few years ago. The series is really good too. Looks like it has no chance of winning but hopefully makes it to another poll. This one wouldn't disappoint.
Katie Jackson
2023-08-31 01:40:28 +0000 UTCWent with 12 Angry Men because it’s so outside of the movies you’ve watched before. Apollo 13 would be a close second.
Joe Concepts
2023-08-31 01:05:37 +0000 UTCI agree that's more of a wasted vote than voting for something that might not win. Apollo 13 is doing really well it doesn't really need more help. But by voting for something else there's a better chance a lesser known movie will come in next time or might even win this time.
Rory OToole
2023-08-30 20:23:44 +0000 UTCI saw it in the theater as well and totally fell in love with it. My dad had the novelization so I wound up reading that too. It was funny when I noticed I was reading it on the exact same date that the story takes place on.

2023-08-30 20:19:08 +0000 UTCOh cool thanks, I’ll search it out.
Jef Etters
2023-08-30 18:03:00 +0000 UTCIt's above single digits, it'll come back.
JD Nevesytrof
2023-08-30 17:22:39 +0000 UTCPresently its not winning, but, 12 Angry Men is generally considered one of the greatest movies ever made.

2023-08-30 17:08:40 +0000 UTCThis was tough. So many great movies!
Chuck Rice
2023-08-30 16:28:16 +0000 UTCSaw it in the theater in 1979. Amazeballs!
Michael Nemo
2023-08-30 16:06:00 +0000 UTCI suggested Apollo 13 but I'm also hoping 12 Angry Men wins because it's a masterpiece.
JD Nevesytrof
2023-08-30 16:04:21 +0000 UTCRun Lola Run is an awesome movie. Really there's nothing on this list that isn't a win.
Steven Johnson
2023-08-30 15:48:22 +0000 UTCI think the wisdom there is to not cause us to have a two or three way split.
Steven Johnson
2023-08-30 15:47:47 +0000 UTCI know of one time after time reaction. I forget the guys name, but he did it about a year ago.
Steven Johnson
2023-08-30 15:47:01 +0000 UTCI voted for Run Lola Run. Should it win (very unlikely I know) please watch it subbed, I have no idea if an English dub exists but I suggest the sub version anyway just in case.
Phillip Grischa
2023-08-30 15:28:08 +0000 UTCThe Abyss for me. Happy to hear the plan for one a month though. So many great films we can get to
James Bottas
2023-08-30 15:01:06 +0000 UTCWhy do people vote like this? Shouldn’t you vote the one you want?
Jef Etters
2023-08-30 14:55:56 +0000 UTCYeah there is basically no way Time After Time will win against Apollo 13, which is a shame because there are a ton of Apollo 13 reactions already out there and I don’t even know if there are any of Time After Time. I guess if the guys are going for views, it’s in their best interest.
Jef Etters
2023-08-30 14:54:00 +0000 UTCSo many good choices. I went with Apollo 13 since that seems to be out ahead
Jonathan
2023-08-30 14:40:04 +0000 UTCYeah know what you mean would prefer some more obscure ones
AzoriusMage
2023-08-30 14:34:41 +0000 UTCThis is an excellent list. All superb films. Apollo 13 made me a Tom Hanks fan. 12 angry men is simply one of the best motion pictures ever made, full stop.
Rich Cirivilleri
2023-08-30 14:25:17 +0000 UTCI know Dark City is a more obscure film, but its got an all-star cast, and is highly underrated in my opinion. Director of “The Crow”.
Chris S.
2023-08-30 14:24:33 +0000 UTCAgreed. I originally suggested this but the current front runner, Apollo 13, is also great. It’s just a little more “mainstream Hollywood-y” if you know what I mean.
Jef Etters
2023-08-30 14:16:44 +0000 UTCTIME AFTER TIME is an amazing story and film. Directed by WRATH OF KHAN director and STAR TREK VI. A prolific and intelligent writer of screenplays and novels. (Also with a fun score by a classical composer of film music) A+ all around.
Michael Nemo
2023-08-30 14:06:49 +0000 UTCVoted for The Abyss, will enjoy watching it again, haven’t for a long long time.
Paul Rymer
2023-08-30 14:06:40 +0000 UTCLot of great ones on that lsit, but I'm going to have to go with Apollo 13. One of the best historical dramas ever.
