UNCUT REACTION - Quantum Leap ep3 - Star-Crossed

If you guys are liking it by the end of season 1, I'm on board for your continuing

Yeah loved the Donna stuff. I remember recognizing her from MacGyver when I first saw it. Completely forgot the Watergate twist. I am enjoying watching you guys trying to figure out the historical stuff. I hope you do put more episodes in the lineup here and there after Season 1 because of course the budget gets bigger so they get to be very creative. That’s the plus of this type of show you can do a block of episodes here and there and not have to worry about forgetting stuff.

I’m glad I’m not the only one thrown by the intro.

Scott Bakula was a shoe-in for this show, because he was a trained theater actor, a dancer, a singer. The show makes use of this two component idea of having Sam stumble into, and through situations, but Bakula as an actor has drama, and dance, and singing all under his belt. So the writers, especially after the first season, really started to utilize his skills as a performer. Also, for those who are counting we now know three of the six Doctorates that Sam holds. Not a favorite. It's cool to see young Teri Hatcher and the water gate stuff. I think I enjoy the next one a little more, but that's the cool thing about a show like this is, you never know what you'll get next. It's also a show written by boomers, so their nostalgia for the 60-70s is substantial. The intro for Season 1 is a little clunky, because this was a late addition to the line up, hence why it only has a short first season, but it actually throws me off to watch this intro. I watched the show a lot during its syndicated runs in the 90s and early 00s, and the whole show had one consistent intro that it used. As the show goes on you get to see the intro evolve, with more and more shots added.
