Thank you to those who watched this along with us, hope you enjoyed it! Over the next couple months we will be watching the first season of Buffy and finishing Star Trek TOS. After that, TWD could make a return to the channel if enough people are interested. Either way, this has been a fun adventure through the first season!

I think the intended 'resolution' of this finale is the definitive information that civilization as we know it is over. Throughout the season they've been hoping for some surviving organized structure. They all went to Atlanta thinking it was a safe haven. When Amy and Andrea were talking about their parents, Amy said something like "maybe it's not as bad in Florida". And then they went to the CDC betting that if anything was still standing, it'd be them. And then they find out that the infection is worldwide (Jenner says the French equivalent of the CDC were the last holdouts) and that there is no government or civilization left at all. So if season 1 was about these survivors trying to figure out where to find the remnants of civilization, season 2 will have to be about what they do now that they know there's nothing left to find.
