⚠ YTD Update, Pausing Patreon ⚠

At the start of the year I'd made a [post] about how 2024 was kind of my make-or-break as far as income through writing goes, it was the overall reason why I'd turned off the option for yearly subscriptions.

It's been roughly 11-months and change since then, and out of my goal of roughly doubling income, and well...

Things have not been going as I would've hoped.

Part of it was out of my own over-estimation of what I could pull off. Juggling several stories at the same time has proven a far bigger challenge than originally anticipated, and attempts to get a third one going has taken far longer than I'd thought.

So... what now?

For starters, I'll take a break from writing for a couple of weeks, after that it depends on what I find.

In an ideal situation there's some govt program I might be able to join up, maybe something to buy me a few more month's of time and try to get the third story to take-off. More realistically, I anticipate I'll have to start going through the whole process of job-hunting and do part-time work in whatever flies my way before I can get back to writing at a slower pace.

Either way, I can't make promises on what will happen a month from now because I don't know what lies ahead.

So I'm putting the patreon on hold for the time being and pausing payments.

If things go well, then I'll be jumping back in some shape or form by mid/late January. If they don't, then I might end up prolonging the pause for another month or two.

Whatever the case might be, writing for you guys has been the best moment of my life so far, and I truly hope I find a way to continue this.

I'll be sure to give a head's up once I'm surer of what to expect.
