I love this movie so much. I was not sold on Nicholas Hoult when they announced his casting, but man did he knock it out of the park as Lex Luthor. I love that they didn't kill off the villain in their first movie like 98% of comic book movies. I hope we have years and years of being able to watch these great young actors build off each other as Superman and Lex Luthor grow older. ALSO, I would heavily recommend watching Peacemaker in the near future. It's also a James Gunn project, and one of the few things transferring over from the old DCEU to the new Gunn-era DCU. Without spoilers it's harder to describe, but basically the reset happens between seasons 1 & 2. Peacemaker season 2 is fully canon to the new stuff. ALSO ALSO, because you're talking about this now while I'm typing... Almost all the scenes for Krypto were indeed CGI but there was a stand-in on set for certain scenes for technical reasons. James Gunn's dog Ozu was 3D scanned for the film and turned into Krypto.
