I wanted to see it when it had its moment and hype but the poster really mislead me.. I was like.. zombies? not in the mood, worst? petrifying ghosts as only the Koreans can do? no, thank you. But as a social commentary a mindf**c is quite the piece. I would never feel the need to rewatch it, but it has a very powerful cinematic and storytelling point of view.

2025-07-20 15:52:01 +0000 UTCThis movie has been on my watchlist and I just haven't been able to get around to it until now. And I liked it far more than I thought I would. That mid-film reveal is an absolute rug-pull. There are probably two reasons why Parasite hasn't had an American remake - 1: it was hugely well-received here, winning the Best Picture Oscar (usually more obscure films are remade), and 2: the American remake would suuuuuuck!
