I would watch with them Twilight for the laughs, but it would have to be their choice. I would never expect them to watch twilight "seriously"... Sparkly angstsy teenager vamps doesn't seem to be their vibe, maybe I'm wrong.

Like have a Western poll, a period piece poll, an action poll, a franchise continuation poll, etc... Then watch the 1 winner each week to have a good monthly mix.

2025-02-27 02:52:46 +0000 UTCThe voting process means we get the broad swath crowd pleasers before we get the distinctive, niche movies, though it is surprising Spotlight doesn't get more votes. For every Little Miss Sunshine or Whiplash, we get a Tom Cruise action piece and a CG heavy franchise entry. This works fine for me. Most of my favorite movies would never win here. The majority rules and it usually ends up as a pretty good mix. To be honest, I only joined this Patreon group when I found out you were all watching Daredevil and the Expanse. It's a good group though. A thoughtful community.
