2025-02-25 17:45:58 +0000 UTCThatβs about the only thing I dislike about season 7. There are way more unrealistic scenarios, Season 5 & 6 did this as well. Dexter is a very intelligent guy, but heβs not a superhero, and some of his mistakes in these later seasons would likely get noticed.

Respect is a strong word, but a mutual understanding between Dexter and Isaak that goes just beyond "serial killer bad". It's a much more interesting dynamic than most seasons because, as a viewer, you also respect Isaak more than most of the other antagonists of the show. He's more refined, in a way, more like an actual character instead of just an antagonist. And Hannah... I love the way they set her up. She starts as Wayne's unnamed girlfriend, a side character on his story. Then we actually see her and she starts getting some screen-time, and we wonder why. Like Trin said, everything points to her being a one-episode character. And then, in this episode, we finally understand there's something more to her character. Brilliant writing, super subtle way to build someone up.

2025-02-25 12:35:22 +0000 UTCDidn't like that Dexter went to see Isaak at the jail. Visitor logs would clearly show that and people would wonder why he did it. The writers begin to get sloppier this season.

2025-02-25 04:32:24 +0000 UTCThis reasoning kills me every time I watch this. Dexter publicly used a bloodslide at the site of the first bathtub murder in season 4. NOT just the Bay Harbor Butcher, argh.
