Zodiac (2007)

Trin, I don't understand why you would tell Rob everything upfront if he doesn't know anything about it. But you spend the first 15 minutes basically telling him everything about the case. Kind of ruins the reaction a little bit.

Ninaofthe90s

there is a reaction here to The Social Network πŸ₯°

Ninaofthe90s

Same director as fight club. You guys could do one David Fincher movie a month for a while and it would be a blast - The Game, Gone Girl, social network, girl with the dragon tattoo, panic room

Great movie.... But at the end of the day, I wouldn't use this to truly weigh the facts of the case. There's a lot that's accurate, for sure. Pretty faithful to the documented crime scenes. But also plenty of fictional liberties. Being based upon Graysmith's book... it's specifically built on Graysmith's favored suspect, Arthur Leigh Allen. While it definitely could've been ALA... there's plenty that just doesn't match up. I think ALA was a sicko who got off on being considered the clever confident Zodiac. If he was, he was repeatedly lucky. The long-time investigative community on this has divided feelings on a variety of suspects and no clear cut answers. But Fincher was out to capture the mood with this film... and he really succeeded.

I’m American and I didn’t really know too much about Zodiac. Really great movie, I would put my life savings on it being Arthur Leigh there was sooooo much evidence. Though that other guy who had the film containers was also very suspicious, his car also looked very similar to the one we saw in the beginning and with the lady and baby

James

WAY to much evidence for it not to be him

James

Fincher is just brilliant. I hope you'll watch his show "Mindhunter" one day.

Ninaofthe90s

You may remember John Carroll Lynch as Eastman, the "cheese maker" who taught Morgan to use a bo and that "all life is precious" in the Walking Dead. This movie really had a remarkable cast.

Now you have GOT to watch Prisoners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜Š

I really enjoy this movie, 1 cuz its a good movie, but also I grew up in this area. My parents were kids/teenagers at the time the killings were going on & living in the same county. I went to camp at Blue Rock Springs, near the first killings in this movie. It's always kinda wild to think about to me. I 100% believe the Zodiac was Arthur Leigh Allen. There's a documentary on Netflix about him too and its all just kinda crazy. Maybe one day we'll get to find out for sure.

minkit

A sleeper of a film for sure. I watched this when it came out on dvd. Long but no fat on this film. Every scene does what it’s supposed to

Alex Gonzalez

Heh, the younger Michael Mageau is Minkus from Boy Meets World...and the creepy guy with the basement is Charles Fleischer, most known as the voice of Roger Rabbit... Long movie, but fascinating as hell. Much has been said about Fincher's attention to detail in this movie, but one really stuck out at me. They managed to track down the operator who answered the Zodiac's first call and asked her to "cast" the voice actor to portray him in the call in the film...she picked out actor John Carroll Lynch...who played Arthur Leigh Allen....chills...
